Meet our longest-standing tenant, Graham MacAlpine
At Blueprint Workspace Stirling, we’re all about supporting community, collaboration and the people who make it happen. That’s why we’re proud to shine a spotlight on one of our most valued and long-standing tenants: Cubis Project Management, led by owner and managing director Graham MacAlpine.
Introducing Cubis Project Management
Cubis Project Management has been in operation for 13 years, with Blueprint Stirling as its home for the entire journey. Cubis is a multi-discipline service provider to the construction industry, with a focus on key sectors including renewable energy, natural gas, defence and the food and drink industries. Their core services include project management, principal designer, construction supervision and commercial management, serving clients that range from multinationals and private companies to PLCs and national government bodies.
A strong team built on experience and collaboration
Cubis currently employs nine people with diverse engineering backgrounds. This breadth of expertise allows the team to deliver comprehensive solutions for their clients and offer internal support where colleagues may have less experience. Every team member brings experience across construction, design/engineering, and client-side roles, making Cubis a go-to partner for complex projects.
Flexible workspace supporting business growth
Having started as a team of one, Cubis has grown to a team of nine and has recently expanded into its second office at Blueprint Stirling. Graham credits Blueprint Stirling’s flexible and customer-focused workspace as a key part of his success. "The flexible, customer-focused approach makes working from here both enjoyable and practical," says Graham. “The availability of co-working spaces, day offices, community meeting rooms and boardrooms has proven invaluable for a team that’s rarely all in the office at the same time.”
The benefits of being based at Blueprint Stirling
Graham also explains that when weighing up alternative properties, the hidden costs of power, heating, internet and cleaning quickly add up. "Blueprint offers excellent value. Combined with the helpful onsite team, it means we have no problems in the office on a day-to-day basis."
He also encourages new tenants to have open conversations with the team: "Speak to Gillian and openly discuss what you want and what you need. Our new office started as an empty room and, through conversation, it’s become an excellent environment to bring clients and to work from."
What’s next for Cubis Project Management?
Cubis is following a steady growth plan - one they regularly outperform. Rather than focusing on massive expansion, the team prioritises building on their reputation for excellent service and fostering repeat business with valued clients. With several new clients and sectors in the pipeline for this year, there’s plenty to look forward to.
Outside of running Cubis, Graham juggles his time coaching youth rugby at Stirling County - a challenge that demands just as much commitment and passion as his business. "At least it gives me something non-work-related to chat over with the centre manager!" he jokes.
We’re incredibly proud to have Cubis Project Management and Graham as part of the Blueprint Stirling community.
